Generally, a TubTab will take, at most, 30 minutes to completely dissolve.

Some components of the TubTab will dissolve faster than others, so don’t be alarmed if you see a few little specks still floating around. They will dissolve eventually.

The BroTabs are meant to slowly dissolve, constantly releasing a little sanitizer into the tub. They will last most of the week before completely dissolved.

Store your tablets in a cool, dark, and dry place. Make sure that the package is firmly closed when not is use. That’s it! Happy tubbing!

Yes they are! TubTabs are made with natural ingredients like aloe to ensure they are safe, effective, and keep your hot tub's water comfortable, clean, and soft to the touch.

Add 1 TubTab per 1,000 L (~400 gal) directly into the water once a week.

Place it in the filter well or toss it into the water directly with pumps running for at least 30 minutes to let the TubTab dissolve.

Yes — TubTabs are safe for soft/inflatable tubs.

They do not contain solvents or ingredients that attack vinyl or PVC liners. The only precaution (same as with any spa chemical) is to avoid letting an undissolved tablet sit directly against the liner. Add it with circulation running and keep it away from the wall while dissolving.

Many soft tub owners use TubTabs without issue.

The TubTabs system works both safely and effectively in both chlorine AND bromine systems!

We would recommend extending the dosing timeframe, based on the water in the tub.

You can still drop them in whole like you would with a larger tub. A 150 gallon tub is about 560L of water, so we'd recommend using one tablet every two weeks instead of every week.

TubTabs are rectangular and about 2in x 1 in x 1in.

There are two options.

1. The first, if you want to keep the water your currently using, continue using your sanitizer of choice according to the user directions, and start using TubTabs right away.
2. The second, ditch your water, give your tub and filter a good clean, and refill the tub with water. Before adding any other chemicals make sure you balance total alkalinity, pH, and hardness to the appropriate levels. Then to start, add two TubTabs and two BroTabs for every 2000 L of water. Every week afterwards, use one TubTab and one BroTab for normal use.

Dosage rates are the suggested number of tablets recommended to clean and sanitize your hot tub.

Average dosage rates by product:

• Normal use: 1 TubTab and 1 BroTab weekly
• Heavier use (multiple people, daily): 1 TubTab and 2 BroTabs
• Party Party: 2 TubTabs and 2 BroTabs

Clean filter and add 2 TubTabs and 2 Brotabs.

If this doesn’t fix it – Fresh fill then balance water. Then back to normal TubTab and BroTabs for maintenance.

Part of the magic of TubTabs is that it loosens dirt and gunk from all substrates (the tub shell, the pipes, the pump, the jets etc).

Hence, your filter may be overloaded the first couple times and you’ll need to scoop this gunk away.

You don’t need to buy BroTabs for TubTabs to work. However, you do need to have some sort of sanitizer to accompany TubTabs to work.

We recommend BroTabs, as it is a good quality Bromine that is gentler on your skin and at a good price.

It's best not to, but it’s certainly not the end of the world.

One can get pretty good at opening the pouch and rolling a tab into the skimmer without touching it.

These products may irritate your eyes so best to wash your hands immediately after contact.

Yes! TubTabs can be used in saltwater hot tubs, with a couple of important notes.

Saltwater tubs still sanitize with chlorine generated from salt, so TubTabs are used as a weekly maintenance/oxidation product, not a replacement for the salt system. The key is to make sure your salt system is already producing and holding a normal chlorine level before adding a TubTab.

A few quick tips:

• Make sure free chlorine is stable before using TubTabs
• Don’t place TubTabs directly in the skimmer if it feeds straight into the salt cell
• Let the tablet dissolve in the tub water with circulation running
  

Used this way, TubTabs work very well alongside salt systems to help with clarity, odor control, and reducing sanitizer demand

Yes, TubTabs would replace your current system! TubTabs include an oxidizer into the TubTab itself, so no need for an additional product.

Our TubTabs system is what we'd recommend. Our all-in-one cleaning, balancing and clarifying TubTabs tablets + sanitizing BroTabs is the optimal combination of items to keep your Northwind tub clean and comfortable.

Our TubTabs would replace the Spa Marvel chemicals you're using, while the BroTabs would replace your current bromine solution. Just two tablets a week per 1,000L of water, and you would be good to go. Our gentle balance of chemicals are generally tough on grime, but soft on chot tubs and skin.

Tubtabs should eliminate your need for maintenance products entirely, ie. Clarifier, defoamer, scale control (unless you have extremely hard water), shock. These are the products that you would use periodically throughout the lifetime of your water to keep it looking clean and clear. Indirectly by keeping the water clean and clear it also helps to ensure that the water chemistry stays balanced and your sanitizer demand drops. This reduces the amount of sanitizer that you will use overall, as well as the constant need to adjust alkalinity and pH.

Often a metallic smell can be triggered by low pH or high sanitizer. With the TubTabs system, we've specially formulated our tablets to perfectly balance and sanitize your water without sanitizing. If your water is metallic smelling - and it's one of those reasons - we think TubTabs would be an excellent fit!
